The project idea began by rethinking the traditional opera house and theaters, as well as the types of traditional spaces used within them. In the first phase of the process, we intervened in the design of the Colón Theatre in Argentina by adding a ramp that winds through the entire building to highlight the historical context of traditional opera houses and old theaters in a modern style.

In the second phase, we designed an opera house in Afula. The massing of the building connects with Arlozorov Avenue, and between the two architectural masses, we designed an intermediate foyer space between the lobby and the auditorium. The foyer was visually connected with both the lobby and the avenue, giving it a new significance compared to the usual foyer space.

Additionally, the complex includes an urban market on the ground floor and a music school.
